Only residents living in approved areas can obtain a permit. Permits are conditional and may be revoked at any time. You must be 18 years of age or older.

Please only burn wood, wood by-products (cardboard, paper etc.) or leaves.
If you want to have an open-air fire (burn barrel, brush burning, agriculture burning, etc.) then yes, you need an approved permit. If you are having a barbecue or campfire a permit is not required. The discharge of family fireworks on the applicable days also requires a burn permit.

Yes. Call the burn permit line @ 1-855-336-1475 to activate your burning permit each time you wish to burn.
In order to register your burn, you must call 1-855-336-1475 and enter the phone number with which you registered your account. The automated phone system will register your intent to burn and your burn will be activated. From the time your burn is registered it is considered active for 24 hours. However, just because the burn is registered and active for 24 hours does not take away from the condition that burning can only occur between the hours of 6pm and 10am.
